Hypnos Irascitur Hephaestus is an example of an ongoing electro-acoustic semi-improvisational practice involving cymbal, extended techniques, contact microphones, and electronic modulation. After one performance of this piece a friend of mine described it as an ‘insight into the sound of metal’.
