a small cheat.

The sonic material for ‘a small cheat.’ is two versions of a structured improvisation for vibraphonist with two bows layered on top of each other, creating an aleatoric soundscape for 4 bows on vibraphone. This ended up becoming the soundscape for footage of oil slicks on the gowanus canal, a place I was spending a lot of time during the pandemic lockdown as it is where my rehearsal space was located at the time.
